In celebration of local Native American cultures, the Aquarium of the Pacific will host its sixteenth annual Moompetam Festival for the first time as a virtual event.

Tune in for a virtual lecture from the Aquarium of the Pacific’s Guest Speaker Series to learn more about what scientists and experts are doing to help coral reefs survive and thrive.

Touch sharks, rays, and sea jellies and visit penguins, sea lions, seals, and other animals in the Aquarium’s expansive outdoor areas while indoor areas remain closed.

After a hiatus, the Aquarium’s Penguin Encounter program will offer up-close experiences with these charismatic birds starting August 3.

Two one-week sessions featuring live online classes with educators and take-home activities will be offered for kids and teens in different age groups, from kindergartners to twelfth grade.
