Aquarium Announces New Board Members
Samantha Attwood and Art Levitt have officially joined the Aquarium of the Pacific’s Board of Directors. Attwood is the worldwide head of Amazon’s Devices Technology Licensing Business Development Team and contributes to new sustainability and energy initiatives across Amazon. Levitt has headed businesses in the media, hospitality, and entertainment.

Aquarium Welcomes New Rescued Sea Otter Pup
The Aquarium of the Pacific is announcing the arrival of a new rescued sea otter pup, who was found stranded without its mother in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, on April 12, 2022. Sea otter experts estimated the young male pup to be three weeks old when it was found.

This Fall Students to Earn College Credits Through the Aquarium’s Ocean Conservation Course
The Aquarium of the Pacific has partnered with Orange Coast College (OCC) to offer a college-level course for thirty high school and college students during the fall 2022 semester. The course, Ocean Conservation and Community Science, will focus on ocean conservation and the roles that aquariums can play in public education, research, and behavior changes.

The nonprofit Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California, honored Dr. David Titley as the recipient of its 2022 Ocean Conservation Award during the Blue Whale Gala on Saturday, June 11. The Ocean Conservation Award is given annually to those who contribute significantly to ocean conservation and environmental education.
