Dive into the dark depths of the Aquarium, where there’s more fun than fright this Halloween season!

Live performances of traditional music and dance, and cultural craft demonstrations and displays, will help transform the Aquarium into an international destination during its fifteenth annual Southeast Asia Day.

Aquarium staff members will transport the sea turtle to the water’s edge and release it near the mouth of the San Gabriel River on August 15 at 10:00 a.m.

Aquarium’s festival celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month and features dance and music performances, bilingual environmental programs, arts and crafts, and a special annual award ceremony.

Several tribes will be represented at the Aquarium through live music and dance, cultural craft presentations, and artifacts of daily life.

Five American avocet chicks hatched at the Aquarium between June 23 and 25. The chicks and their parents are on view in the lower enclosure in the Guam Kingfisher aviary near Shark Lagoon.

Found only in the northern part of the Gulf of California, Mexico, the vaquita porpoise is the world’s most endangered marine mammal. Approximately ten vaquitas remain, according to a report by the International Committee for the Recovery of the Vaquita.

The Aquarium of the Pacific and Harbor Breeze Cruises invite the media to set sail for the chance to see these whales while learning recent findings about them and other whales on Wednesday, July 3.

The entire Aquarium, except Lorikeet Forest, will remain open until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights from June 21 to September 1, 2019. Admission after 5:00 p.m. will be $19.95 per person.
