Three impressive individuals were recognized at Aquarium events for their community service and leadership.

The third annual High Tide Film Festival was a night to celebrate the winners of film contest sponsored by Dr. Allen and Charlotte Ginsburg at the Aquarium of the Pacific.

For the third year in a row, a cohort of exceptional African American students are awarded scholarship funds and join a growing community of scholars engaging in various Aquarium efforts.

The Ocean Conservation Award is given annually to those who contribute significantly to ocean conservation and environmental education.

The Aquarium received eighty submissions from high school students in twenty cities across Southern California for its inaugural High Tide Film Festival.

Each of the recipients will receive $10,000 and be invited to participate in presentations, meetings, and other activities at the Aquarium for the duration of the program

The Telly Awards honor excellence in video and television on a variety of platforms. The Aquarium has earned forty-six Telly Awards since 2008 for its original short films.

In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Aquarium held an art contest presented by JetBlue throughout the summer of 2018. The top twenty entrants were selected to win a round-trip flight on JetBlue.

The Aquarium was presented with the 2017 Friend of Child Life Award from Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital Long Beach in July.

The Aquarium was honored by The Climate Registry with a Special Recognition Award as one of its founding members and a participant in Southern California Edison’s Cool Planet Project.
