Robert Schallmann recorded this Aquacast at the Aquarium on July 18, 2017. Schallmann has served as the conservation program manager at Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach since 2003 and is responsible for overseeing the natural resources program, including the management of several endangered, threatened, and at-risk species.

Here he provides an overview of how the military’s natural resources programs are balanced with its defense mission, while highlighting the successes and opportunities for conservation in our backyard.
