In this episode, we talk with Dr. John Williams, associate professor of molecular medicine, director of the X-ray Crystallography Core Facility, and co-director of the Drug Discovery and Structural Biology Core at City of Hope.

Aquarium President and CEO Jerry Schubel talks with Dr. Williams about medicines from marine life, inlcuding how marine life compares with terrestrial life as sources of medicine, how it was first discovered that marine animals had biologically active compounds that could be converted into medicines and drugs, and what potential remains for undiscovered cures for human diseases.
