Lecture date: March 3, 2016. Biologist Nick Wegner discusses the opah, a fish that warms up nearly its entire body through the constant flapping of large pectoral fins.

Wegner is a research fisheries biologist working for NOAA Fisheries at the Southwest Fisheries Science Center in La Jolla, California, and a lecturer at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
