Lecture date: March 17, 2015. Heather Lynch discussed penguin biogeography and biology, the threats currently facing many of the world’s penguin species, and the methods used by scientists to map, monitor, and study penguins.

Lynch is a member of the faculty in ecology and evolution at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She currently manages a project in partnership with nonprofit research organization Oceanites called the Antarctic Site Inventory, which studies Antarctic penguins and their response to climate change.
