Lecture date: January 13, 2014. International corporate lawyer Barry Sanders is chairman of the Southern California Committee for the Olympic Games. He led the effort to bid for the 2016 Olympic Games in Los Angeles and now leads the effort to bring the Games to Los Angeles in 2024. He discussed and sign copies of his book, The Los Angeles 1984 Olympic Games.

He is also the author of American Avatar: The United States in the Global Imagination and an adjunct professor in the communications studies department at the University of California, Los Angeles.
