KNX Reporter Ron Kilgore recently joined NOAA National Weather Service Meteorologist Mark Jackson at the Aquarium of the Pacific. The Aquarium projected current NOAA data on its high-tech rotating globe to illustrate and analyze the impact of Hurricane Sandy. This six-foot NOAA Science on a Sphere™ exhibit can show near-real time data fed from NOAA’s satellites and other monitoring systems, including weather predictions, actual storms, earthquakes, tsunamis, sea surface temperature, and more.
