She is the author of Poseidon’s Steed: The Story of Seahorses, From Myth to Reality and Spirals in Time: The Secret Life and Curious Afterlife of Seashells. She is also a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.

She discusses seahorse behavior and biology and how seahorses are endangered by modern threats rooted in humans’ ancient beliefs.
