Dr. Paul Barber recorded this Aquacast at the Aquarium on February 5, 2014. Barber is a professor of ecology and evolutionary biology at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he teaches marine science. He has been working with the Aquarium to develop a new exhibit focused on the Coral Triangle.

He discussed biodiversity and its importance, the degradation of the Coral Triangle, and how people can help preserve the world’s oceans.
