Do your research prior to adopting an amphibian or any animal to avoid inadvertently contributing to unsustainable or illegal wildlife trade. Look up the protected status of the species with a simple web search to ensure they are not vulnerable, threatened, or protected. If they are not, acquire them from a reputable vendor, and ask the vendor where the animal came from to ensure they were from a sustainable source. Lastly, ensure you have the knowledge and resources to give them the proper care. - Reduce Your Carbon Footprint
Conserve energy and reduce your use of fossil fuels. Walk, bike, carpool, or take public transit whenever possible. - Conserve Water
