Anyone involved in community science in Southern California is invited and encouraged to attend this symposium.
The 4th California Community Science Symposium (CCSS) will be held Saturday October 21, 2023 at the Aquarium of the Pacific. Anyone involved or interested in citizen science is invited and encouraged to attend this symposium. Attendees will include practitioners who design citizen science programs, volunteers currently participating in these programs, as well as students, educators, and anyone with an interest in becoming a citizen scientist or starting a citizen science program. The audience will represent diverse disciplines in conservation-related fields with varying levels of experience. The most important opportunities at the symposium will be those that allow participants to make connections, share their knowledge and information with others, and learn from experts and fellow citizen scientists.
We invite community scientists and researchers to submit a proposal to be a speaker or present a poster at the 4th California Community Science Symposium.
If you are interested, please ensure that you have approval from your community science program leads, as applicable, and complete our application form for consideration.
Acceptance will include admission to the symposium.
Join the Aquarium of the Pacific as we welcome community scientists and organizations throughout California, and our keynote Speaker Adina Merenlender for a day focused on community science and engagement.
Aquarium admission, parking, light breakfast and appetizers at the reception are included in your ticket price. Once purchased, tickets are nonrefundable.
