Meet Our Animal Ambassadors at Pacific Visions
See these animals up close, take photos, and get a chance to learn about the conservation of these species

Starting this month, visitors have the opportunity to meet the Aquarium’s animal ambassadors outside the entrance to Pacific Visions during four sessions held each day between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The Aquarium’s animal ambassadors include both marine and land animals.
Animal ambassadors will be brought out periodically during these periods to allow visitors see these animals up close, take photos, and get a chance to learn about the conservation of these species. Each animal has a connection to the topics covered in Pacific Visions to show how humans can help protect animals through sustainable choices related to food, energy, and water.
Animal ambassadors featured in these sessions include a Magellanic penguin, Lola the sulfur-crested cockatoo, California desert tortoise, rain frog, desert green toad, blue-tongued skink, prehensile tailed skink, desert rosy boa, gray banded king snake, tiger salamander, and bearded dragon. Animals will be brought out one at a time and are subject to change from day to day.
Starting on July 22, the Aquarium’s shrimp cart will be part of this program. This portable 15 gallon aquarium contains a species of cleaner shrimp and will be stationed at Pacific Visions for thirty-minute sessions with an interpreter.
