One of the creatures I always take a detour to check out on my way to the sea otters exhibit is the North Pacific Bigeye Octopus. This neighbor of the Aquarium’s sea otters in the Northern Pacific Gallery is fun to watch. The octopus tends to be very active especially in the morning. Recently it gave me an opportunity to capture some short but fascinating video clips of it changing colors to a Halloween themed tone and also posing next to its reflection on the surface of the water. Watching its antics nearly made me late for my sea otter session.
Check out the video.
